Police Sports Club Complex Project – Managed by AKG UAE Project Management
The Police Sports Club Complex project is located in Baghdad Governorate and spans a total area of 66,552 square meters, making it one of the largest integrated sports developments combining modern sports, recreational, and service facilities in line with international standards.
The project comprises a comprehensive range of facilities designed to support both professional sports activities and public events, including:
- A main stadium with a capacity of 12,000 spectators, designed وفق international standards to host major sporting events.
- A dedicated training field for club teams, fully equipped to support training and development programs.
- An indoor swimming pool with a capacity of 1,500 spectators, fitted with advanced technical systems.
- A multi-purpose sports hall accommodating 2,500 spectators, suitable for various sports and events.
- A fully equipped medical center for first aid and sports treatment.
- Modern administrative buildings including operational offices and a meeting hall.
- Integrated service facilities including a hotel, cafeterias, and retail outlets to serve visitors and athletes.
The structural works are executed using reinforced concrete for the main buildings to ensure durability and long-term performance, while steel structural systems are utilized for the stadium, hall, and swimming pool stands to achieve structural efficiency and faster construction.
AKG UAE Project Management oversaw the complete project management lifecycle, applying international best practices in strategic planning, quality assurance, risk management, and strict adherence to project timelines and budget.
The project also includes all associated infrastructure works, such as electrical networks, water supply, sewage systems, and stormwater drainage, in addition to internal roads and parking areas—delivering a fully integrated sports complex built to world-class standards that enhances sports infrastructure in Iraq.
