Scope of Work:
Supply and installation of all medical equipment, medical furniture, and office furniture for the hospital in accordance with the approved technical requirements and healthcare standards.
Project Location:
Baghdad International Airport – Iraq.
The project comprised the construction of a new Emergency Building with a total area of 740 m², in addition to the full rehabilitation of the existing primary healthcare facility.
All works were executed in accordance with the designs approved by the Ministry of Health – Design Department, covering complete civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC works.
The project included two main components:
Rehabilitation of the Existing Healthcare Building
The scope covered the demolition and removal of the existing sandwich-panel structure and outdated utility systems, followed by full renovation works. These included the installation of new water supply and sewage networks, complete replacement of electrical systems, and execution of architectural finishes such as ceramic wall cladding, suspended ceilings, painting, and vinyl flooring.
The works also involved the installation of new doors, windows, air-conditioning units, fire alarm and firefighting systems, sound and CCTV systems, as well as the provision of a backup generator with complete power infrastructure.
Construction of the New Emergency Building
The new emergency facility was constructed as a reinforced concrete structure, including excavation, foundations, columns, beams, and roof slabs. The building features internal red brick partitions and complete architectural finishes, including plastering, painting, ceramic tiling, suspended ceilings, vinyl flooring, and installation of doors and windows.
It was fully equipped with electrical, mechanical, communication, fire safety, medical gas and oxygen systems, plumbing, and HVAC works.
